Well, we’ve had enough snow. I think I can speak for pretty well everyone on that score. I couldn’t get to work on Tuesday or Wednesday. The snow fall continued pretty well non-stop, we have about 12-18 inches of the stuff. The football was cancelled on Tuesday evening, and is now cancelled for tomorrow, Saturday. Schools are closed, people are walking everywhere. The roads are pretty clear, at least the main roads are. Side roads are just a mess of slippery snowy stuff. We finally dug the car out this morning, cleared the drive a bit and eventually after a lot of spinning of wheels and sliding about, got the car onto the road.
The forecast is for freezing temperatures, we we decided it was time to make an expedition to Sainsburys. The car park was pretty full, all the parking spaces layered with slippy snowy stuff, but the walkways were clear. The supermarket was pretty well stocked, except that there was hardly a loaf of bread to be seen.
I hope that the weather might brighten tomorrow, if we have some blue sky I might venture out with the camera and take some pictures of the local area in its picture-postcard glory.
So, apart from trying to keep warm, I’ve been experimenting with some product photography taken in natural light with a reflector, making the most of the winter afternoon light.
