Got the news that two of my prints of Dartford FC made it into the Kent County Photographic Association Annual Exhibition at Maidstone Museum. One of them, below, received a ‘highly commended’, which is a first for me, so really thrilled. I’ve had prints accepted over the past seven years, so its good to know that I can still reach the standard. Its not easy to get prints accepted as there are so many put forward and a limited space to display the chosen ones.
(Interestingly, both shots were from a match against Grimsby early in the season). Grimsby Town is a nice ground.
I couldn’t go to the opening, but paid a visit to Maidstone today, 4 April. It was cold and started snowing as we left. But it was nice to see the exhibition. It was quiet, and actually nicer to look round than the opening evening which is usually very busy.
Its not often you get to see something for free, so go along and enjoy some really excellent photography.
