My first practical outing with the London Photo and Graphics Meetup Group. The theme was headshots and we were photographing each other, not models, in and around Hyde Park. A couple of my favourite images, totally different in mood. Firstly, lovely light on Angela
and a more edgy one of Bill
I thought Bill would look good against a city skyline, so here’s a version I created.
The weather was a mixture of strong sunlight, sometimes obscured by clouds. The mission was not to use flash, just available light. Squinting into strong sunlight is not conducive to good portraits, so finding the right location and consideration for the background was very important. I decided to use my 85mm and 50mm prime lenses for this event.
I think, on balance, I prefer this headshot, taken a couple of months ago.
I look forward to further adventures with this Meet Up Group.
